Chutney (to be served with Upma Kozhukattai) – Vegan


Coconut – 1 cup

Channa Dal – 2 tbsps

Red Chillies – To Taste

Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig

Asafoetida – 1 tsp

Tamarind – small ball

Salt – To Taste

Oil – 1 tbsp

Heat oil. Add Channa Dal, Red Chillies & fry for few minutes until Channa Dal is golden brown.

Switch off the stove. Add Asafoetida & curry leaves.

Pour the fried mix in a blender along with coconut. Now, add tamarind, salt & grind to a smooth paste.

Season with Mustard Seeds & serve.
