Appam – Neiappam – Vegan

Jaggery - 1 cup; if using Brown Sugar use 1 1/4 cup
Rice, soaked - 1 Cup
Cardamom, powdered - 1 tsp
Banana - (medium - 1; Large - 1/2)
Grind soaked Rice to a smooth paste/powder. Then, add Jaggery & grind again. Finally add banana, cardamom powder & grind until fine batter.
The batter should be of thick soupy consistancy, if you are not familiar with idli batter consistancy.
Fry in a very small deep set wok, if you don't have Appakkaral like the one in the picture.
